General Terms of Service

House KEEPER Nanny Services

This document outlines the general terms and conditions under which House KEEPER Nanny provides services. A personalized service agreement will be provided prior to beginning services.

1. SERVICES OFFERED

House KEEPER Nanny offers holistic family support in the following areas:

  • Postpartum Support Extended care beyond the traditional fourth trimester, supporting families through the first year and beyond with both physical recovery and emotional transitions.

  • Newborn Care Specialist Services Expert infant care using the Possum Technique (responsive cued care) and specialized knowledge of newborn development and needs.

  • Childcare (Specializing in Ages 0-3) Respectful, responsive care blending Reggio Emilia, Waldorf Steiner, and RIE approaches for your child's most crucial developmental years.

  • Household Management Comprehensive systems that reduce the invisible mental load, including meal planning, laundry management, organization, errands, and calendar coordination.

  • Virtual Support Text, email, and phone consultation services for families needing guidance rather than hands-on support.

2. SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS

Initial Consultation

All service relationships begin with a consultation to understand your family's unique needs and determine how House KEEPER Nanny can best support you. This conversation helps establish service scope, schedule, and specific requirements.

Customized Support Plan

Following the consultation, a customized support plan and personalized service agreement will be created outlining specific services, schedule, rates, and any special arrangements.

Minimum Service

A minimum service fee of $100 per booking applies to all services.

3. FEES AND PAYMENT

Fee Structure

Rates are determined based on:

  • Type of service required

  • Complexity of care needed

  • Schedule requirements

  • Number of children

  • Additional responsibilities

Specific rates will be provided during consultation and detailed in your personalized service agreement.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due at the conclusion of each service date unless otherwise specified in your personalized agreement

  • A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure services

  • Accepted payment methods include cash, check, and Venmo

  • Late payments are subject to a 5% fee

4. CANCELLATION AND SCHEDULING POLICIES

Client Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations or adjustments made 72+ hours before scheduled service: No cancellation fee

  • Cancellations or adjustments made between 24-72 hours: 50% of booked service fee

  • Cancellations or adjustments made less than 24 hours: 100% of booked service fee

Provider Cancellation

  • In case of illness or emergency, clients will be notified as soon as possible

  • Every effort will be made to reschedule at a mutually convenient time

  • No charges will apply to provider cancellations

5. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & APPROACH

Qualifications

  • CPR and First Aid certified

  • Professional training as a Postpartum Doula, Advanced Newborn Care Specialist, and Early Childhood Education & Care.

  • Background checked and references available

  • Ongoing professional development

Safety Commitment

  • Prioritizing the safety and well-being of your family

  • Following current safe sleep and childcare guidelines

  • Emergency protocols in place

  • Adaptation to your family's specific safety requirements

Professional Boundaries

House KEEPER Nanny is committed to providing excellent service while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries:

  • Not a Medical Professional: Services do not include medical advice, diagnoses, or treatments

  • Medication Administration: Medications will only be administered with explicit parent/guardian direction

  • Scope of Practice: Referrals to appropriate healthcare providers will be made when situations fall outside the scope of services

  • Educational Approach: While drawing from established childcare philosophies, all approaches will be adapted to align with your family's values and preferences

6. CLIENT EXPECTATIONS

To ensure the best possible service experience, clients are expected to:

  • Provide accurate information about family needs and expectations

  • Maintain a safe home environment

  • Communicate openly about feedback, concerns, or changing needs

  • Respect professional boundaries and service hours

  • Complete required paperwork before service begins

7. HEALTH AND SAFETY

Illness Policy

  • For the safety of all families served, services will not be provided when the provider is contagious

  • Families are expected to notify provider of any illnesses in the household before scheduled services

  • Children with fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or contagious conditions should not be in provider's care until symptoms have resolved for at least 24 hours

Emergency Protocol

  • In case of emergency, appropriate medical services will be contacted if necessary

  • Parents/guardians will be notified immediately

  • Detailed emergency protocols will be established in your personalized service agreement

8. CONFIDENTIALITY

All family information is kept strictly confidential. House KEEPER Nanny will not share details about your family, your children, or your household with others. Photos or information about your family will never be shared without explicit written permission.

The only exception to confidentiality is in cases of suspected child abuse or neglect, which providers are legally mandated to report.

9. TERMINATION OF SERVICES

Either party may terminate services with appropriate written notice as specified in the personalized service agreement. All outstanding payments become due immediately upon termination.

10. CLIENT-SPECIFIC AGREEMENT

These general terms provide an overview of House KEEPER Nanny services and policies. Before services begin, clients will receive a personalized service agreement detailing the specific services, schedule, rates, and any special arrangements unique to their family's needs.
